Kyle Busch was born on May 2, 1985 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He currently lives in Mooresville, North Carolina and is single. His driving career started at twelve years old. He is the youngest NASCAR winner in history. It all started when Kyle was six years old when his dad held down the gas pedal on a make-shift gokart. When he was able to reach the gas pedal on his own, he was unstopable.
As a child, Kyle Busch helped his father and brother build and repair race cars. He was a mechanic at ten years old. Although he started driving at twelve, his official racing career started at thirteen years old racing legends. He won sixty-five times between 1999 and 2001 racing legends cars and won two Legends Championships. Busch moved up to late model cars and won ten times. This sparked NASCAR team owners interest, but he was still too young to compete in NASCAR - you have to be eighteen years old to compete in the Busch Series or Nextel Cup races.
Kyle Busch started racing in the Craftsman Truck Series at seventeen years old. Hendrick Motorsports signed him on in February 2003. He was sucessful almost immediately. He won his first ARCA event in Nashville from the pole. He raced in the Busch Series starting in 2003 where he continues to race along with Nextel Cup races. In the Nextel Cup Series, Busch won two races in his rookie year and made Rookie of the Year for 2005. He continues to be a very sucessful driver and is currently in the Chase for the Nextel Cup with one win, eight top fives and sixteen top tens so far this this season. He is very competative with his brother, Kurt Bush, who drives the #2 racecar and is also in The Chase.
Kyle Busch currently drives the #5 Kellogs Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports and will drive for Joe Gibbs Racing starting in the 2008 season taking on teammates Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin.
